Pelotan 100ml Spray - White Jersey Edition is a sunscreen in spray form. SPF 30 is transparent, absorbs quickly and is breathable - it does not hinder the skin's breathing. It was developed by athletes and tested in the laboratory. It stays on the skin for 8 hours, even when sweating.

What does sun protection factor (SPF) mean?

The sun protection factor (SPF) indicates how well a sunscreen protects against UVB radiation – the radiation that can cause sunburn. How long you can stay in the sun without risking sunburn also depends on many other factors: your skin type, hair and eye color, location, altitude above sea level, and many more.

With SPF 30, you can theoretically stay in the sun 30 times longer than without protection – if you apply it correctly. Don't skimp on the amount: The guideline for adults is about 30ml per application.

Please note: a higher SPF does not mean you should stay in the sun longer; it simply increases your protection against harmful radiation. A widespread misconception is that SPF 30 is twice as strong as SPF 15, although the following relationships actually apply:

• SPF 15 blocks approximately 93% of UVB radiation

• SPF 30 approximately 97%

• SPF 50 approximately 98%

What are UVA and UVB rays?

The sun emits two types of UV rays:

• UVB rays are shorter-wave and penetrate less deeply into the skin, but can cause sunburn and damage the DNA of skin cells.

• UVA rays are longer-wave and penetrate deeper into the skin, which can promote skin aging and contribute to the development of skin cancer (e.g., melanoma).

Good sun protection – like Pelotan – provides comprehensive protection, i.e., against both UVA and UVB rays. The UVA seal confirms the product's compliance with applicable EU standards.

Should I apply Pelotan even when it's cloudy?

Absolutely! Even when it's cloudy, up to 80% of UV radiation reaches your skin. Cooler weather conditions don't necessarily mean low UV levels, so your region's UV index is a better indicator.

I have allergies or skin problems – can I use Pelotan?

Pelotan is dermatologically tested and avoids known allergens wherever possible. However, skin conditions or allergies vary from individual to individual – if in doubt, always consult your doctor. At the first sign of redness or itching, you should stop using it immediately. Ideally, you should do a 24-hour patch test before first use.

Will Pelotan stain my clothes?

No – unlike many other sunscreens, Pelotan doesn't leave yellow stains on your clothes. However, we recommend waiting until the sunscreen has completely absorbed after application before slipping into your favorite jersey. Marginal gains, not terminal stains.

Is Pelotan tested on animals?

No – Pelotan is not tested on animals. It is also suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Can I use Pelotan on my face?

Yes – Pelotan is suitable for the entire body, including your face.

Suggested use:

For best results apply to clean dry skin. Apply evenly and generously 15 minutes before you head outside, which will allow Pelotan to bind with the skin and form a protective barrier.

The average adult needs between 30-40 ml of product during each application to ensure sufficient coverage and effective protection.
